A Night To Remember: Vigil at Civic Square

Hosted by AIDS Saskatoon

Join us for an evening to remember those we’ve lost to HIV, AIDS, Hep C, Suicide, as a result of discrimination due to sexual orientation, identity, or gender, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.

We will be gathering at Saskatoon City Hall Civic Square on Monday, June 19 at 6pm as part of the Saskatoon Pride events.

Messages of Hope for the present and future will be brought from various leaders and peers in the community.

There will be two quilts provided: one to write messages of memory, the other to write messages of celebration and hope.

Program:
Commemoration and Speeches
Musical Performances and Public Messages for Remembrance Quilt
Messages of Hope and Celebration
Public opportunity to write messages on the Hope Quilt

The quilts will be joined together and gifted to a community organization to keep on behalf of the community.

This event is being held on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional territory of Nehiyaw peoples and the homeland of the Metis Nation.
