And we’re live!
Please note: We are experiencing temporary technical issues with our Parade broadcast. It all worked so well in rehearsal last night.
The broadcast will begin on Facebook Live on the Saskatoon Pride Facebook page as soon as the issues are resolved. Please stay with us—it will be worth the wait!
It’s time, Saskatoon! You’ve lined up the entries, we’ve marshalled them and it’s time for the Saskatoon Virtual Pride Parade presented by TD to begin!
This Saturday at 12:00 noon (Central Time) the true meaning of our 2020 festival theme, “Be Strong, Be Proud, Be You,” —expressed through your words and images will stream to your computer, tablet, smartphone!
Can’t take time on Saturday (now why would that be?)? We’ve got you covered. You can enjoy it on Shaw Spotlight next week at these times: Tue June 23 at 6pm, Wed Jun 24 at 7pm, Fri Jun 26 at 9pm, and Sat Jun 27 at Noon.
Join parade co-hosts Lauryn Kronick (they/them) and Max Maximus (he/him), Saskatoon Pride, and many of you, in a remembrance of how we got to this place in history, a reminder that the work is not done, and a resolution to continue the fight for full participation and protection of all marginalized people, especially trans, Black, Indigenous, other People of Colour.
All that and all your beautiful, heartfelt ways of showing what Pride means to you. As our board member Hailey McRae says, Pride can’t be cancelled, Pride is a movement, and we hold it in our hearts. From our hearts to your homes, here comes the Parade!
Sponsored by TD, Canadian Heritage, Government of Canada, Danger Dynamite, Shaw Spotlight, Alt Haus, and more.
