Hi, my name is Natasha. My pronouns are she and her. This is my fourth year on the Board of Saskatoon Pride (Saskatoon Diversity Network Inc.) and I have been out and proud since… well, before Ellen.
I grew up on Vancouver Island and after working crew for the ’94-’96 Michigan Womyn’s Music Festivals joined the Lesbian Avengers and moved to Portland, Oregon. Queer rights activism and social/environmental justice work has been an integral part of my life ever since.
In 2003 I moved back to Canada and lived in Vancouver. In 2012 I bought my family’s home in Hague, SK, which I share with my partner Bonnie. Yes, I moved from BC to SK and have no regrets! I am an avid gardener, a compost coach and have a Masters in Sustainability from the U of S. I am an adoptive mom, to the child of my soul, who agrees that Seedy Saturday and Pride are the most important days of the year. I am proud to be part of the Pride board again this year as we look towards safety-focused in-person events as we transition out of our two years of virtual and COVID-19 modified experiences.
