Natasha King

Hi, my name is Natasha. My pronouns are she and her. I’m Co-Chair of Saskatoon Pride (Saskatoon Diversity Network Inc.) and I have been out and proud since… well, before Ellen. In addition to being one of the co-chairs for 2020, I serve on a number of committees, including Logistics, Governance, Inclusion, Family, Grants and Sponsorship, Green Initiatives, and the Pride Tourism Committee.

I grew up on Vancouver Island and after working crew for the ’94-’96 Michigan Womyn’s Music Festivals joined the Lesbian Avengers and moved to Portland, Oregon. Queer rights activism and social/environmental justice work has been an integral part of my life ever since.

In 2003 I moved back to Canada and lived in Vancouver. I bought my family’s home in Hague, SK, (seven winters ago), which I share with my partner Bonnie. Yes, I moved from BC to SK and have no regrets! I am an avid gardener, a compost coach and have a Masters in Sustainability from the U of S. I am an adoptive mom, to the daughter of my soul, who agrees that Seedy Saturday and Pride are the most important days of the year. I served on the board as a member at large in 2019 and I am proud to be part of the Pride board again this year. I look forward to organizing awesome and sustainable events where we can all show our PRIDE!
