Saskatoon Pride announces that Fabulous Futures is the theme for this year’s Saskatoon Pride Festival, presented by TD Bank Group, taking place June 9 to June 18, 2023. We are forever grateful for the commitment TD has made to support the 2SLGBTQ+ community and beyond.

Saskatoon Pride is recruiting new members for the Board of Directors! If you are interested, fill out this application and send it to info@saskatoonpride.ca by November 14, 2021. The Saskatoon Pride Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on November 24, 2021.

The Saskatoon Pride Festival is a family affair. Like the Forsbergs, many families attend the Pride Parade together, including the family of Mayor Charlie Clark. For Skylar Forsberg, 16, the parade is a place where she feels happy and safe, not like an outcast but welcomed and celebrated.

All across Turtle Island during the month of June, people gather to celebrate inclusiveness, diversity, and love as part of Pride month celebrations. Kevin Seesequasis of Beardy's and Okemasis' Cree Nation (BOCN) reaffirms the commitment to Two Spirits and LGBTQ+ people.

Placed in the heart of Treaty Six Territory, Saskatoon has been in a unique position of creating expansive spaces for revitalization efforts of Two Spirit culture. For many Two Spirit community members, like Mel, Saskatoon Pride has transformed into a space of grounding, of family connections, and ceremonies of rekindling traditions. June brings forth a double fresh breath of air for the Two Spirit community, as it not only marks Pride Month but National Indigenous History Month too!

On Sunday, March 28 at 7pm CST, join in for the second edition of this virtual event which is inspired by the gifts within our Indigenous community where we celebrate its culture, authenticity and diversity.

The Q-Factor: A Saskatoon Pride Talent Competition is an all-ages digital talent competition taking place on March 12-13. This will be a fierce competition made up of talent from local artists with the chance to win great prizes.

OUTSaskatoon and Saskatoon Pride have partnered together to create a non-partisan equitably scored report card in order to grade Saskatoon Municipal and School Board Trustee Candidates regarding their plans, commitments to, and support for Saskatoon’s 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Saskatoon Pride and OUTSaskatoon have partnered together to create a non-partisan equitably scored report card in order to grade provincial political parties regarding their plans, commitments to, and support for Saskatchewan’s 2SLGBTQ+ community. We asked all six provincial political parties four questions, providing them a platform to speak about LGBTQ2S issues.

Your voice needs to be heard. You are the face and voice of Saskatoon Pride. We wish to create a diverse and inclusive organization and to reflect all our communities in our celebration of Pride. All Saskatoon Pride events and initiatives are reviewed to ensure they embrace these ideals. 2020 has been a year of challenge as the pandemic forced us to find ways for our community members to connect virtually and express their Pride, connect with others, and to support and centre the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour to create awareness of systemic injustice and our individual and collective responsibility to make change.

Two Spirit people are an integral part of the fabric of Saskatoon’s queer community. Saskatoon Pride presents a celebration of two spirit artists and allies from Saskatchewan and across Turtle Island. We hope it is one of many steps on the path to reconciliation and inclusion. Listen, learn, and above all, enjoy the gifts and voices of the Two Spirit Ball.

Saskatoon stepped up when Saskatoon Pride was unable to hold its usual Pride Parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There was an outpouring of love and support for the two spirit and queer community from across the community. The parade included a segment from the Black Lives Matter Saskatoon chapter and from Idle No More. The Virtual Parade is call to the 2020 theme of Saskatoon Pride: "Be Strong. Be Proud. Be You."

he Global Queer, Trans, and Intersex Human Rights in a COVID-19 World international panel discussion was a powerful learning experience for Saskatoon, Canada, and across the globe.
